And then there's all the evidence ...

There is mountains of evidence for our creator God and for Jesus as His son, the awaited Messiah, and the 2nd person of our triune God ... but I've had personal experiences (many) with Him that makes all the evidence unnecessary ... at least for me. So we can squabble about small pieces of the puzzle (which all have reasonable and logical answers), but I already know that it's true.  So every piece of evidence is simply gravy.

"Well maybe you imagined it, or you had a brain blip, or something else.  How do you know?"

Because I know.  That and ...

  • There has to be an intelligent Creator.  There is no way around it.  Something does not come from nothing, and that something shows considerable intelligent design that we, as a people, have not been able to even approach.  That intelligent creator is God.
  • Life does not come from non-life.  Because there had to be a "first life", something or someone intelligent HAD to have given it life.  Something that is outside the natural world.  That "something" is God.
  • The historicity of Jesus is more verifiable than ANY other ancient person.  Period.  By many multiples.  He is verified to have died on the cross.  He was seen by greater than 500 individual people at different times after his death, many who personally interacted with him.  And his Apostles went to their deaths holding to his deity and resurrection from the dead ... because they saw it for themselves.
  • The statistical probability that anyone in all of history would meet even 8 of the 54 (or so) Old Testament prophesies about the coming Messiah is asymptotically approaching zero (1 in 10 to the 17th power).  And Jesus fulfilled ALL 54 (or so).

But none of that really matters in the face of my personal experiences and relationship with Him.

He is real.  He is patiently waiting for you to drop your ego and seek him.
