"... he has mercy on whomever he wills, and he hardens whomever he wills." Romans 9:18
A reality with which I continually must come to grips is, sometimes God just hardens someone's heart to the Truth. This can be because it is not yet "their time" (per God's plan for them), or it could be that they've denied Him too many times.
I marvel sometimes how some just do not even want to consider the Truth claims of Jesus and determine its reality. They seem hard-headed in their stance that they "know better" and "don't need to look into such silliness". Is it them and their arrogance or ego or pride? Or is it God hardening their heart? I simply don't know.
A mystery that saddens me.
